Anaduy Macedo is a Brazilian politician born in Salvador, capital city of the State of Bahia, and raised in Lauro de Freitas, in the metropolitan region of Salvador. She is a member of the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL), having previously been affiliated with the Marxist-Leninist Popular Unity (UP) party. She is the first transgender woman to be elected to the City Council of Salvador.
She currently running on PSOL's ticket for a seat in the Chamber of Deputies in the 2034 election
Macedo started her activism in the student movement in late 2024 when she joined UP she later moved on to PSOL in search of electoral viability.
She identifies as a "Bisexual, Transgender, Socialist" and as subscribing to "Brazilian Socialism". She is currently in a Sapphic relationship with her longterm partner.
She studied graduated from UFBA with a Bachelor's degree in History. She then became a State public school teacher. She is currently doing her Master's degree in Political History and Left-wing movements in Bahia.
