👋 About me
editHi, I’m Dr.gloom1987.
I like writing and tidying up articles – mostly about cinema, video games, fashion and languages. Outside of wiki I enjoy small bits of programming and automation, and I’m fond of long-distance walking such as the Camino de Santiago.
I primarily edit the Ukrainian Wikipedia, but I also read and occasionally fix things in the English one.
🌈✊ Values
edit| This user supports equal rights for LGBT people. |
| This user is a feminist. |
| ♂♀ | This user supports gender equality. |
| This user ardently opposes all forms of RACISM. |
I care about equality, oppose homophobia, sexism and racism, and generally prefer constructive discussion over conflict.
🖥️ Tools, OS and tech side
editThis user contributes using Microsoft Windows. |

I like small scripts and automations more than huge “frameworks for everything”. Mostly playing with code to make repetitive editing or formatting tasks a bit easier.
🎬🎮 My interests
edit- 🎬 Cinema & TV – especially how films are structured, written and received.
- 🎮 Video games – game worlds, storytelling, localisation and terminology.
- 👗 Fashion – terminology, history, style and subcultures.
- 🔤 Linguistics – etymology, language families, typology and how languages change.
- 💻 Programming & small automations – scripts, tools and things that make repetitive work easier.
- 🚶 Walking & trails – long-distance walks, especially the Camino de Santiago.
🛠️ What I usually edit
edit- Articles about films and TV (structure, style, references).
- Video game and culture-related pages.
- Articles related to languages and linguistics (terminology, classification, usage).
- Cleanup work: references, style, infoboxes, templates, categories.
On the Ukrainian Wikipedia, I often:
- organise and tidy up existing articles,
- translate and adapt content from other languages,
- check consistency of terminology between articles.
💬 Communication & editing style
edit- I try to follow policies first and my preferences second.
- If I make a mistake, I prefer to explain and fix it rather than argue.
- I’m happy to discuss changes on talk pages and build consensus.
If something I did bothers you, feel free to leave a message on my talk page – I read it. 🙂
