The 2026 Hobart City Council election is scheduled to be held in October 2026 to elect the lord mayor and 12 councillors to the Hobart City Council. It will be held concurrently with the broader 2026 Tasmanian local elections.
The incumbent lord mayor is Anna Reynolds, leader of her Your Hobart Independents party, which holds 3 seats on the council.
Hobart City, like the rest of Tasmania, has a council–manager government.
The Tasmanian Greens endorse candidates for Hobart elections, whilst Liberal and Labor members generally run unendorsed.
