Political views

edit

Since some biased left-wing and right-wing users or IPs complained about this user's alleged bias,[nb 6] he likes to respond that he is the political version of Schrödinger's cat—being a leftist, centrist, and rightist, and at the same none of them. From left to right, he is an anarchist and libertarian because who would not want everyone to be free? He is a communist because in theory it looks like heaven on Earth (not so much in practice). He is a socialist and social democrat because who does not like the working class or a good underdog story? He is a progressive because progress sounds good. He is an environmentalist because the Earth is a pretty damn beautiful planet, it would be a real shame if it was to be destroyed. He is a feminist because women are better than men. He is an anti-fascist because fascism is bad (is he still allowed to say that? God, one cannot say anything anymore these days...).

This user is a liberal because freedom and liberty are good. He is a centrist because both sides have crazies. He is anti-centrist because it does not mean centrism is free from idiots either. He is a Christian democrat because his country was ruled by them for almost 50 years, a cherry-picked version of Christianity is perfect, and whoever Jesus Christ was, he was a pretty chill good dude. He is pro-capitalism because it was a big leap forward from slavery and feudalism: it helped us to create so much wealth and progress. He is a liberist and supporter of economic liberalism because "Fuck the taxi and seaside lobbies!" (Italians would understand). He is a neoliberal because globalisation "ain't that bad". He is a conservative because some things were really better in the past, some traditions are very nice, and he would like to conserve all the progress and advances made by working-class and middle-class peoples.

This user is a patriot and nationalist because one can ardently yet not uncritically love one's own country, history, and culture without having to denigrate those of others. He is an American-style libertarian because he is autistic and likes to be left alone and free. He is an anti-feminist because feminism gave us Margaret Thatcher and some other God-awful rulers. He is a reactionary because both classical liberalism and classical social democracy were better than whatever we have today, plus Italian football was better in 2006. He is a fascist (actually a super fascist) because he really dislikes the use of Anglicism in the Italian language, especially when there are such straightforward Italian equivalents. He is a neono sorry, I cannot do this even in tongue-in-cheek but I can say—this user is an anti-communist because "read my lips"—Communist regimes committed atrocities and that was not good. Got it? Good.

In short, this user just wants everyone to be free. I guess that is such a bad and biased thing! So to reiterate—who could possibly be opposed to that?

Notes

edit
  1. Gender does not matter to my heart, but my brain is still biased towards women.
  2. I do not believe in it but I wanted to make use of the parameter.
  3. I like to think I am his guardian, and if there is some forms of ownership, it is all on his side. As they used to say in Soviet Russia, "you do not own the cat, the cat owns you!"
  4. I consider myself a de facto atheist or 6.9 on the spectrum of theistic probability, with Christian atheist and cultural Christianity (more specifically Catholic) leanings.
  5. It is a pun to None (atheism) as religion to make it a match. I chose anarchism since it is an anti-authoritarian philosophy, hence anti-dogmatic organised religion. Anarchism is simply the closest political thing I can think of to my definition of atheism. Do not take this too seriously.
  6. I clearly remember a few Marxist–Leninists on the left and a few anti-communists on the right. I was once even falsely accused of running a Marxist–Leninist Quora account just because it had a very similar name to mine and evidently because the accuser must have been the reincarnation of Senator Joseph McCarthy and was sure I am a dirty communist, even though I had nothing to do with it. Of course, there is the whole "Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mass killings under communist regimes (4th nomination)", where I and several other users were shunned and subjected to what amounted to—if it was a trial, it would have been a trial by media.
  7. It links to "Anarchism" merely because it was its leading sentence. Similarly, the second quote links to "Left-wing politics" because it was the phrasing used for a quote by emeritus professor of economics Barry Clark. Do not make much of this.
