Spartak Fikaj is an Albanian author, radio host, cultural figure, former political and legal adviser, entrepreneur, and music producer.[1] He is known for his long-running role as host of the Albanian-language radio program Jehona e Shqipes in Belgium, his publications on Albanian history and identity, and for founding companies in the fields of aesthetic dermatology, perfumery, and music production.

Early life

Spartak Fikaj was born in Shkodër, Albania, during the communist period. From the age of five, he was involved in state cultural institutions including Shtepia e Pionerit and later Shtepia e Kulturës, where he trained in dance, guitar, violin, and choral singing.

As a child performer, he appeared on stage extensively and was selected to participate in national New Year’s Eve television recordings broadcast on Albanian public television (RTVSH).

Religious and cultural activity

Following the collapse of communism in the early 1990s, Fikaj participated in the reopening of Catholic religious life in Shkodër, including early post-communist religious ceremonies. He later took part in youth initiatives connected to Dom Bosco programs in northern Albania.

Professional dance

As a young adult, Fikaj pursued professional dance abroad, performing with the National Ballet of Thessaloniki (Greece) and later with the National Ballet of Canada.

Humanitarian work

While living in Canada, Fikaj volunteered with the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture (CCVT).[2] He also volunteered with Women’s College Hospital and Casey House in Toronto.

At The 519 Community Centre in Toronto, he contributed to the creation of an LGBTQ youth support initiative.

Media career

Since 2010, Fikaj has served as the main host of the Albanian-language radio program Jehona e Shqipes on Radio Panik 105.4 FM in Brussels.[3][4]

Fikaj founded StarSpark Clinique Dermatologique, an aesthetic clinic operating in Brussels, Amsterdam, and Albania.[6][7]

Stella Scintilla

He is the founder of 'Stella Scintilla, a luxury 100% organic, oil-based perfume brand produced without alcohol.

HitMaker Shqip

Fikaj founded 'HitMaker Shqip, a music production and recording label.[8] Through the label, he developed the stage production Aria e Skënderbeut – Gjergj Kastriotit, consisting of 19 original songs inspired by Albanian history.
