Introduction

Please be nice and patient with this New Wikipedian.

Hello, I’m Campssitie[1], also known as "Underwhite" or "udrr". (Not here, though.) This is my userpage on Wikipedia, I joined around mid-2024―and have taken it seriously in 2025, focusing on making WikiGnome-style edits as a Newbie myself. (or what I consider myself to be)

An American Eskimo dog sitting on white, snowy ground. In the background lays visible paw prints.
Every Thursday at 1:00PM in my timezone, this American Eskimo dog steals my computer and edits on my account. It's doing a great job for some reason, so I'll say I'm proud.

So, I'm a person living in the Arabian Plate, whilst also being on the internet, (with my opinions) I like making friends, consuming content and giving WikiLove to people, moreover making my own content to share with others. I love to talk and like making small edits.

If you want to ask me a question or discuss something, or maybe have a casual talk or give me some WikiLove, you should go to my talk page and talk to me. You don't need an account!

In addition, even if the fierce lion in you says so, do not make personal attacks[2], you'll just make your ongoing situation even worse.

Hobbies

edit

Being a very ecstatic Wikipedian with stuff always in my mind, hobbies are my way to dispense it all out without it bottling up and exploding like a soda can.[3] Trust me, it hurts.

As a profound programmer, artist and musician, I'm part of the Neocities[4] community. I make my music using a web browser named Abyssbox, which is a mod of Beepbox. The reasons I have stuck to these softwares is because it's really easy to use and free.

So, I mainly code with HTML, CSS, Python, and JS (JavaScript), and trying to learn TypeScript, Markdown, and more. Furthermore, I use onecompiler's HTML previewer to review my code, and VSCode to save changes to my site![5]

Moreover, I also enjoy sculpting with polymer clay, I usually don't bake my models but neverendless It's really cool.

I also write for fun. I consider myself a writer, I usually try to get criticism on my work, so I recommend slapping me with a wet trout if I did a silly mistake and you want me to correct it—or give me some words of advice. While writing, I learned a lot about the English language structure, including how to remove unnecessary words, making sentences more concise and readable. For any writers out there, go check out reliable writing blogs!

Wikipedia tomfoolery

Objective

edit
A GIF of a 3D baguette spinning.
Real-life footage what goes on in Campssitie's head when editing Wikipedia

Right now, I'm here to do edits to Wikipedia, resolve issues or drama that may happen along the merry way of my journey, be a lurker, or leave comments. It's usually for advice (clerking?), needing to respond, or warning or notifying users.

Rarely, I may hang out at the Teahouse™ and lurk in at the drama on WP:ANI or WP:DRN, usually known by your comment being thanked by me. Other boards, such as WP:SPI or AI Cleanup, may be lurked too. Once in a blue moon, I might respond unprompted on one of these boards.

For them edits, I mainly do gnome-like edits, for example:

  • Removing dead links: Who needs em? That's right, nobody! (Wait, Timmy wants em?)
  • Fixing grammar: Nothing angers me more then seeing incorrect or just plain wrong grammar.
  • Changing the flow of text to be more concise: Sometimes, you need to continue the flow of text, such as what I j ust typed right now. [6]
  • Source errors or formatting errors: Usually to reduce the code of the source code, or improve the article reading by a long mile. (By itself, it is a dummy edit, so it gets grouped with other types of edits.)
  • Puffery, promo-content and subjective tone: Anything that makes the subject of the article look like the best guy on the planet will get deleted or rewritten.

Now, these types of edits I do are usually microscopic, as I want to minimize my chances of making a big mistake. I'd rather make a small mistake at best.

List of jobs I usually do to help

edit

...

Okay, no, not jobs as in that.

*clears throat*

  1. Patrolling the news feed and AfC drafts to find articles in need of dire help, usually to apply the edits mentioned above, fix some obvious stuff, or generally try to improve them.
  2. Dwelling into the misinfo in articles talking about some "model" when they mean product endorser, I've been removing that too. This was an issue raised by someone I'd like to keep anonymous[7] on the Teahouse.
  3. Diving into the woods of Special:RecentChanges to pounce on vandalism, ripping it clean off the page. This isn't my strongest suit, 1 out of 10 I revert the edit of another person pouncing instead. Oops!
  4. Closing discussions that are in bad faith per WP:NAC. Like a discussion that's offtopic for the page, debates that will only generate drama (and no meaningful discussion), flamebait, false claims, etc.
  5. Helping people on the Teahouse and other help forums. Though, I'm not a Teahouse host yet.
  6. Working on essays, humorous or not. As of May 2026, I’ve been working on an essay titled “Why the unsourced content?”. I‘ll probably start working on a humorous essay next.
  7. Adopting the articles: Leucophasma and Howard Yu.
An image of the Minor Barnstar; given to editors when they do many minor contributions, which may be overlooked but essential for Wikipedia.
Just a very minor Barnstar, nothing special. [Well, it was my first one, but I don't want to develop some kind of Barnstaritis, right?]

Where can I find you elsewhere?

edit

Oh hey! You're able to find me at Neocities, Github, and imood. and additionally status cafe I usually go by "Underwhite" whenever I make an account, but I had to change it because they didn't like that username.

usually on non-formal socials, i talk in all lowercase and avoid spelling, grammar, and punctuation purely for humor like dis

this clashes with my usual writing approach on wikipedia though… (•_•)

i had to ditch it :(

Footnotes

edit
  1. You can call me "Camp" for short.
  2. For example: death threats, ragebait, flamebait, etc.
  3. One of the reasons why I don't use AI, it's way too fast for me. I love taking my time!
  4. Neocities is a reboot of Geocities; a free website hosting Fediverse where you can make your own website, connect with other webmasters, and more.
  5. Did I forgot to mention I have Github to version control?
  6. Despite this, I might make awkward phrasing on accident.
  7. As a note, they did not ask to be anonymous.
