My name is Rebekah Higgitt. I am Principal Curator at National Museums Scotland and was previously a senior lecturer in history of science at the University of Kent, and a curator at Royal Museums Greenwich and was a Co-Investigator on a project with the Museum and University of Cambridge on the history of the Board of Longitude, 1714-1828. I am author of Recreating Newton: Newtonian Biography and the Making of Nineteenth Century History of Science (Pickering Chatto, 2007), co-author with Richard Dunn of Finding Longitude (Collins, 2014) and co-author with Jasmine Kilburn-Toppin and Noah Moxham of Metropolitan Science (Bloomsbury, 2024).
