My name is Shane Balkowitsch, the ambrotypist and photographer. I do wet plate photography. I edit about wet plate photography and now that I know the rules, will not edit about myself, because I have a conflict of interest.

Wet plate photographs are made out of pure silver on glass and will last 1000 years. There are less than 1000 wet plate artists on the planet.
