Manosphere. (2021, February 09). Retrieved March 02, 2021, from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manosphere

The main point of the article had been to give insight as to what manosphere is and some insight of its history of how to came to be. The key problems this article address, and raises are how manosphere stems out of men who are misogynistic and are represented in the right wing, politically. It raises how it is seen online as sexual harassment and sometime are extremists who get violent. The lenses it uses to approach its research is it uses historical events to make connections and talk about its history, as well as gather information/ data on organizations/ groups that are seen as having the ideology of manosphere. To conclude, the article gives insight to a partial history on how the word came to be and the way it is used to refer to people, as well as, how manosphere is associated to real world events such as mass shootings, and other violence that has occurred.

This text is important to my own emerging understanding of this topic because its relevant to myself as a women to know the types of people out there in the world. This gives me a clearer understanding as to the type of men out in the world that one as a female has to deal with endure all this form of toxic masculinity. I find the sources trustworthy/ credible because many sources come from universities and from a notable science websites. Weaknesses of this text I would say are not having much information of this topic from current times. Basically making connections to current times and giving tell tales on how to point out a person with manosphere ideology.
