Timo Kautonen (12 March 1945 – 5 May 2026) was a Finnish footballer who played as a centre-back.[1] He made 42 appearances for the Finland national team from 1964 to 1976.[2] Kautonen played for over 20 seasons in Lahti based clubs, mostly for Reipas Lahti.[3] He was inducted into the Finnish Football Hall of Fame in 2005.

Kautonen died on 5 May 2026,[1] at the age of 81.[4] His sons Turo Kautonen and Tommi Kautonen are former professional footballers, and later Tommi became a manager.
