Note about the scope of the template

@Butterdiplomat:

Hi! About this edit, the text removed was in fact trying to communicate that the template includes "Kinmen and outlying islands"

There would be confusion on whether this means only Taiwan the island, or the entire Taiwan Area (Areas controlled by the Republic of China government: Taiwan island, Pescadores, Kinmen, and Matsu). I put down "Republic of China" and the explicit note "This includes all parts of the Taiwan Area." to make it clear that the template is not just for Taiwan the island. My point was that edit in actuality made the template more confusing by introducing the concept of Taiwan Area (which is only applicable in Taiwanese constitutional law and a term used in contrast with the hypothetical “mainland” area).
Taiwan (see article and relevant RfC in talk) is the common name for the Republic of China, with its territory including Taiwan Island as well as outlying islands. There is no need to add “(Republic of China)” to references to Taiwan, because that main article or any related topic (e.g. Education in Taiwan) is explicitly about the country, not just the island.
