Centering with HTML lists

edit

in the article for Ding Liren (diff), after using {{ubl}} to substitute <br> tags per MOS:NOBR, the text became badly formatted and aligned left rather than being centered. I'm unsure where the issue stems from. Juwan (talk) 01:09, 13 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request for new parameter |with=

edit

for the {{s-bef}} and {{s-aft}}, I request a dedicated |with= parameter. it is currently being used already for articles related to Eurovision, for an example see JJ (singer). Juwan (talk) 20:18, 29 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

edit

I suggest that the output from the as= parameter – including the word "as" – is not in boldface in the {{s-bef}} and {{s-aft}} templates. It is currently both italicized and bolded. It should only be italicized.

See succession boxes in Arthur Peel (diplomat) and his successor (as Ambassador), Ralph Paget.

 Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{Edit template-protected}} template.Jonesey95 (talk) 19:18, 25 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Where do I do that? HandsomeFella (talk) 22:47, 25 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, there are two WikiProject banners at the top - so I would say Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Genealogy or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Succession Box Standardization. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 14:13, 26 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Add role=presentation

edit

Since this is not a data table, there should be role="presentation" on it. More specifically: edit the first line of this template so that

{| class="wikitable succession-box noprint" style="margin:0.5em auto; font-size:small;{{#if:{{{noclear|}}}||clear:both;}}"

becomes

{| role="presentation" class="wikitable succession-box noprint" style="margin:0.5em auto; font-size:small;{{#if:{{{noclear|}}}||clear:both;}}"
