Edit request on 20 December 2017: Please add to Media section: website 'DistroWatch'

edit

I think that it would be good to have a link to DistroWatch in the template because it is useful and viable, unlike some things which are currently in the template. Just sayin'... 159.83.54.2 (talk) 03:05, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Done. Thanks for bringing that up! - Ahunt (talk) 13:05, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

As the template says "This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, that is, specify what text should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. "Please change X" is not acceptable and will be rejected; the request must be of the form "please change X to Y"." You need to state exactly what you think should be changed so other editors can assess it and see if it should be changed or not. - Ahunt (talk) 00:39, 28 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Could the "Phoronix" entry be removed here, since the article was deemed non-notable? --213.216.211.142 (talk) 16:52, 4 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

No, it is a legitimate link to an actual article. Your edit history seems to show you are on some sort of vendetta against this subject. You should probably read WP:AXE. - Ahunt (talk) 17:08, 4 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

is there rule for transclusions and links?

https://templatetransclusioncheck.toolforge.org/index.php?lang=en&name=Template%3ALinux

based on that

  • Transclusion but no link 122 (from 143)
  • Link but no transclusion 11
  • Links to redirects 5

i tried to reduce "Transclusion but no link" issue but unsure due to size of it and if there is wiki page that include the template despite not included in it Lokiretro (talk) 12:00, 9 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
