@GauchoDude this is correct, sometimes people copy + paste the template with documentation as well. Could you also grab this one, perhaps?

Named for/eponym parameter?

Could somebody add a "named for" parameter, or "eponym" parameter, like on city infoboxes (see Template:Infobox settlement, for instance), to show for whom the installation is named for? This is particularly important for United States bases. An example. For Fort Hood someone used the "native name" parameter and stuck in: | native_name = [[eponym]]: [[Col.]] [[Robert B. Hood]]. It's been there awhile. When I tried the same thing for Fort Bragg, putting in: | native_name = [[eponym]]: [[Roland L. Bragg]], somebody, rightly, reverted it stating: "Not the correct use of this field." It think this would be a useful addition to this infobox. TuckerResearch (talk) 17:10, 6 February 2026 (UTC)

Deprecated parameter cleanup

I am proposing a cleanup of the conflicting parameters of this Infobox and to ensure that all parameters conform to MOS:INFOBOXNAME. I am also proposing the slective removal of a couple of parameters for not conforming to MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE (explained below). The plan is reducing technical debt and reducing errors caused by conflicting parameters. The replacements I plan to make are the following:
