GPU Model info seems dubious
editI have laboriously read all 12 references, and the AMD product external links, to see where the GPU model information is sourced.
- Official AMD pages and AMD press release
- These only include the RDNA architecture version and the number of graphics cores, never any GPU model names for the Z2 series.
- "Even though AMD didn't share any information on its performance, [the Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme] should be somewhere around the Radeon 890M in performance since the latter also offers 16x RDNA 3.5 cores."
- So this is mere speculation, and only for the one SKU.

- "a well-known leaker says they're from three different product lines. For example, the Ryzen Z2 Extreme is the only CPU of the lot that is based on Strix Point with 3x Zen 5 and 5x Zen 5c CPU cores. The regular Ryzen Z2 is apparently based on Hawk Point (Ryzen 8000) and the Ryzen Z2 Go on Rembrandt (Ryzen 6000)."
- This maps them to existing CPU series, but doesn't specify specific CPU models within those series.
- 'Based on the same "Strix Point" architecture [...], the Z2 Extreme includes [...] an unnamed RDNA 3.5 GPU with 16 of AMD's compute units (CUs).'
- Explicitly says the GPU is unnamed
- 'The Ryzen Z2 Go [...] This chip appears to be based on AMD's "Rembrandt" architecture, which would make it a slightly cut-down version of 2022's Ryzen 5 6600U.'
- Just unconfirmed speculation
- 'Based on the same "Strix Point" architecture [...], the Z2 Extreme includes [...] an unnamed RDNA 3.5 GPU with 16 of AMD's compute units (CUs).'
- Unlike every other outlet, this does include GPU model names, in a table, but gives no provenance for this information whatsoever (e.g. leaker, or informed deduction by the author). The article in general is sourced to AMD, but the AMD press kit images (glorified spec table JPEGs) don't include GPU model names. If AMD really offered such info, it seems like at least one of the other outlets reporting on the story would have included that info.
- Thus, I have concerns about the veracity of VideoCardz's GPU model name claims.
- Same observations as the previous VideoCardz article, but adds the newer Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme to its specs table.
Therefore, I propose deletion of the GPU Model column, due to lack of reliable verification. Cybercobra (talk) 07:13, 1 September 2025 (UTC)
