Criteria

The Red Barnstar is awarded to users who have inspired a new, "revolutionary" policy on Wikipedia. (This barnstar is not for communism-or-socialism-related articles in particular)

Usage

• Add this template to a user's talk page in the following manner:

{{subst:The Red Barnstar}}

• Your signature, the time and date are automatically added when you click Publish changes.
• You may customize the message with your own text:

{{subst:The Red Barnstar|1=(Additional customizing text may be added here.)}}

Note: The "1=" may be omitted as long as your message follows the first pipe:

{{subst:The Red Barnstar|(Additional customizing text may be added here.)}}

• This barnstar has an alternate version. To use it instead, add |alt to the end as follows:

{{subst:The Red Barnstar|alt}}

If additional text is included, then |alt must still be added to the very end:

{{subst:The Red Barnstar|Put your message here. ~~~~'''|alt}}

This produces the older (Barnstarv1) version:
