This template is used to provide a link to the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina (KONS) Tentative List of National Monuments database (http://aplikacija.kons.gov.ba/kons/public/privremenalista) for a specified listed heritage monuments Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Unlike KONS Petition List, which represents comprehansive database of all petitions on properties and sites, filed by individuals and/or organisations, to be declared national monuments via KONS procedures, KONS Tentative List concerns properties and sites already declared national monuments by earlier state parties (agencies) during SR BiH prior to declaration of indipendace from SFR Yugoslavia, and before establishement of KONS through Annex 8 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Tentative List, or formally, the Provisional List of National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Official Gazette of BiH no. 33/02) was drawn up by the previous complement of the Commission. Article 2 of the Law on the Implementation of the Decisions of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments established pursuant to Annex 8 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH (Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH nos. 2/02 and 27/02) stipulates that all properties on the Provisional List are to be regarded as national monuments until the Commission adopts a final decision. All final decisions of the Commission are published in the official gazettes of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including those of entities and Brčko District. Once final decisions have been adopted for all the properties on the Provisional List, the List will be abolished.

For listed heritage sites, the database records all those in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is updated as changes to entries are made, and new listings are added.

The Tentative List database also contains the following registered historic locations or sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina by earlier state agencies (see KONS background and history ):

• Movable cultural property / heritage
• Immovable property / heritage
  • Historical monuments
  • Protected site
  • Cultural monuments
• World Heritage sites

Usage

Required parameter

• num: the 'list entry number' from the Tentative List database .

Optional parameters

Additional information for the title:

• desc: additional text description such as the name of the property or site; useful if there are several listed objects, group, or any combination, in an article. If this parameter is not used, default text 'Details from listed property database' will be displayed instead.
• category: to display the Category of a listed properties; enter as, lowest to highest, "II", "I" or "0". Only appears if |desc= is also used.
• author: defaults to KONS Tentative, but can be changed to another name if desired
• author-link: defaults to KONS Tentative, but is not set by default if author is set to something other than KONS Tentative
• date: the date provided by KONS Tentative; can be a full or partial date
• year: the year provided by KONS Tentative; use of |date= is recommended, see Template:Cite web/doc#Date for proper usage
• orig-date: the year information was first provided by KONS Tentative; only appears if |date= or |year= is also used
• access-date: the date a Wikipedia editor retrieved information from the KONS Tentative List database.
• mode: defaults to |mode=cs1; set to |mode=cs2 to provide consistency with citation style 2, as produced by {{citation}}
• postscript: controls the closing punctuation for the citation; defaults to a period (.); for no terminating punctuation, set to |postscript=none, however using |mode=cs2 does this automatically
• fewer-links: use |fewer-links=yes to remove repeated wikilinks where the template is used more than once in an article
• ref: defaults to KONS Tentative List Number, but can be reset to any value
• short: use |short=yes with |num= to produce an external link with just the list number shown; |short=yes suppresses the display of other parameters.

If a short citation is required (not to be confused with |short=) and one of the {{harv}} templates or {{sfn}} is used then {{harv|KONS Tentative|KONS Tentative list entry number}} will link the short reference to the long one. For example, {{harv|KONS Tentative|1844}} or {{sfn|KONS Tentative|1844}} produces (KONS Tentative 1844) or sfn that links to the 'Old fort of Ljubuški, the architectural ensemble' example above. This is different from the standard use of the {{harv}} that links using the parameters 'author' and 'date' or 'year'.
