Overall:
Looks okay. Hook source seems to be primary but that's fine. No QPQ requried. TheBritinator (talk) 18:37, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- @SenshiSun and TheBritinator: - I'm concerned this hook could be challenged as not meeting WP:DYKINT. Lots of novels - particularly notable ones - are award finalists, so what makes this situation intriguing to a general reader? The novel itself sounds very interesting, could an ALT be proposed? Maybe a reviewer comment or comparison to Get Out could be a good angle? Zzz plant (talk) 23:44, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Zzz plant: I did admittedly have similar concerns at first. I'm not big on novels, so I didn't know what a PEN/Falkner Award is, but it turns out its apparently quite prestigious. I think that may be enough, but I'm also perfectly fine that it isn't. So yeah, some ALT hooks might be helpful. Thanks. TheBritinator (talk) 23:54, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Zzz plant: @TheBritinator: I did consider the Get Out comparison as an alternative, but I thought it would be too generic. Can I add alt hooks now? I'm new to this process.SenshiSun (talk) 00:17, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, feel free to propose new ALTs here in the nomination. It is common to workshop hooks, especially before promotion (and welcome to DYK!) Zzz plant (talk) 00:22, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

- I prefer ALT2 personally. TheBritinator (talk) 22:22, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
