Ig Nobel Prize
edit- ... that winners of the Ig Nobel Prize must deliver "24/7" lectures, explaining their research in 24 seconds, then 7 words?
- ALT1: ... that winners of the Ig Nobel Prize are silenced by an eight-year-old girl repeating "Please stop. I'm bored" if their acceptance speech goes on too long? Source: "strictly enforced by an eight-year-old girl nicknamed “Miss Sweetie-Poo,” who will interrupt those who exceed the time limit by repeating, “Please stop. I’m bored.” Until they stop."
- ALT2: ... that winners of the Ig Nobel Prize are given 10 trillion dollars in cash and a trophy that is "made of cheap materials that are prone to disintegrate"? Source: "According to Abrahams, it is “made of cheap materials that are prone to disintegrate.” The 2015 prize was a potted plant without the plant and a Zimbabwean $10 trillion dollar bill."

- Comment: Let me know which hook is the most interesting. Not 100% sure about the third one, as it overlaps a bit with an existing DYK.

Overall:
Congratulations for improving this to GA, was not expecting this quite famous article to make it in the DYK! I've checked the article against every DYK criteria and it seems to be in order. Personally ALT1 made me bust a gut, but if anything ALT0 is my secondary choice. Regards, Jeromi Mikhael 01:19, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review! Appreciate the outside opinion on which is most interesting, I've been working on the article so long that I've become desensitised to all the weird facts about it. ALT1 it is! {{GearsDatapacks|talk|contribs}} 10:19, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
