- The Rappler source does not verfy the "franchise" bit, so I've removed it. Also italicizing The Lord of the Rings. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 16:23, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
Regarding listicles section
editI have never seen another modern artist have a section for listicles featuring themselves. Could a contributor to the article help me to understand why its there? GarethBaloney 20:21, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
- They're prominent in award lists such as List of awards and nominations received by Taylor Swift though Yaelokre is not that popular yet I've decided to include it in this way instead. Arconning (talk) 07:42, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
- OK that makes sense. GarethBaloney 14:55, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
ANOTHER thing to ask
editIs Yaelokre a stage name or a project name? The first sentence of the lead is a bit messy if it is a stage name (which it may not be because of the specific use of "project"). From what I have seen on Wikipedia, artists with stage names have it as "known professionally as..." or "known by their stage name...". GarethBaloney 20:32, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
- Fixed as well. Arconning (talk) 07:45, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
Pronunciation
edit@Arconning: Could you add an invisible comment to the first instance of "Yaelokre" in the article explaining that there is no proper pronunciation of the name, with a link to Ósk confirming this? ―Howard • 🌽33 19:32, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- Of course! Arconning (talk) 01:15, 25 May 2025 (UTC)

lead
edit- Have seen the invisible comment on the pronunciation of Yaelokre, but would actually recommend turning this into a note as it could be useful information for the average reader.
- Done.
- the summer of the same year -> Per MOS:SEASON, it should be the month (July) of the same year.
- Done.
Early life
edit- Ósk had planned to go to college to pursue a career in becoming a kindergarten teacher, with their second choice of becoming an author of children's storybooks. -> Could be more concise:
Ósk had planned to go to college to pursue a career as a kindergarten teacher, with their second choice being an author of children's storybooks.
- Done.
- Just wanted to ask if there's any additional info that could be added to their early life? I understand if this is all you could find, but for example did their plans to go to college ever materialise? Which I assume didn't as they decided to pursue a music career instead, which then that should be briefly touched on as well.
- I do believe there isn't any available sourcing.
2024
edit- The project is set on a world ->
The project is set in a world
- Done.
- focuses on a musical ensemble called The Lark with four characters wearing animal-themed masks named Cole, Clémente (also known as Clementine), Peregrine (also known as Perrine), and Kingsley, all voiced by Ósk. -> Unsure if the characters' other names need to be mentioned, as that feels like a bit too much detail. Would also rewrite slightly to flow better:
focuses on a musical ensemble called The Lark, consisting of four characters – Cole, Clémente, Peregrine, and Kingley – who each wear animal-themed masks and are all voiced by Ósk.
- Done.
- Would unlink rabbit per WP:OL.
- Done.
- on how Yaelokre continues the revival of folk music due to the combination of Ósk's illustrations and their songs. -> For flow:
on how Yaelokre continued the revival of folk music through the combination of Ósk's illustrations and their songs.
- Done.
- in March of the same year -> Not sure if the "of the same year" needs to be mentioned, seeing as how this section is sub-headed with 2024.
- Done.
- which includes "Harpy Hare" ->
which included "Harpy Hare"
- Done.
- As of April 2025, "Harpy Hare" has over 115 million listens on Spotify.[12] -> Don't really see the point of including this. This number will have to be continuously updated, and I find the previous sentences talking about the song's success enough to forego adding this Spotify-referenced information.
- Done.
2025
edit- The full live band composed of Ósk, percussionist Reynaldo Capuno, guitarist Emil Ortega, drummer Eugene Rabang, and bassist JD Santos, were one of the opening acts for Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora -> Might just be me, but this feels like an abrupt start to this section, almost like there was supposed to be a sentence before this. There was no mention of this "full live band" before this point, especially with it later stating "prior gigs by the group", which is confusing as I was under the assumption that Yaelokre was a solo project.
Genre
edit- I think it would be worth considering to merge the Genre section with the Reception section, seeing as how they're both relatively short, and both mainly talk about their successes.
- Done.
- Angan should also be mentioned as Kara Angan of Rappler.
- She has already been mentioned previously so I didn't do this.
- Ah, sorry. Must've missed it.
- She has already been mentioned previously so I didn't do this.
- Interviewee Esther Comia commented that she was excited to listen to Yaelokre at a live performance as it was the first time she had seen "any OPM artist close to my age do the kind of storytelling I aspire to do". -> Am also considering the use of this quote from a fan, as it praises Yaelokre without actually saying anything.
- Removed
Discography
edit- No issues.
That's all the issues I found in my prose review, please feel free to push back on any of my suggestions if they overstep. Will be moving onto the source review after above is addressed. – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 14:32, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
source review
editAs of this revision:
- [1]
: Have verified the information, and was just curious why the original source has a quotation in it?
- I kept mixing up the sources so I decided to add the quote to not lose it. :P
- [2]

- [3]

- [4]
: Not to be nitpicky, but [4] does not confirm this info: January 2024 with the single "Harpy Hare", specifically that it was released in January.
- Changed...
- [5]
: Does not confirm the date in this sentence: Yaelokre released their second EP Songs Of Origin in September 2024. Additionally, the EP should have a lowercase "of".
- Changed.
- [6]
: Wrong number here: rose to 557%, source says 577%.
- Done.
- [7]

- [8]

- [9]
: Where in [9] does it include viral four months later in July on TikTok and YouTube?
- Angan cites the July part as well, put them together.
- [10]

- [11]

- [12]

- [13]
: Does not confirm these dates: "Kid & Leveret" on February 21 and "Cole's Response" on May 22 of the same year.
- Removed dates.
- [14]

- [15]

- [16]

- [‡ 1]
: While this does confirm their pronouns, it is only in the archived version. This source can be kept for now, but would it be worth linking only to the archived version?
- Changed.
- [‡ 2]
: Could you add a timestamp to this?
- Done.
- [‡ 3]

Finished my source review, will put on hold for now. Nice work on the article! – actuall7 (talk | contrib) 03:57, 18 July 2025 (UTC)

Birth Year
editYaelokre/Keath has repeatedly mentioned not giving light to their age or the year they were born, and they have never confirmed it, and never want to make it public. I think having “2004” leads to misinformation, whilst also crossing that boundary. ~2026-14748-24 (talk) 09:55, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
