editThis work seems really biased. Maybe we could talk about his background and education as well, rather than just about how bad his book is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.54.143.144 (talk) 06:53, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Was Gredier right?
edit- ..One World, Ready or Not: The Manic Logic of Global Capitalism (1997) – which suggested vulnerabilities and inequities of the global economy. The credibility of this work was heavily criticized by economist Paul Krugman, who argued that Greider ignored the fallacies of composition that run rampant in the work, misinterpreted facts (some of which were incorrect), and misled readers with false assumptions – all possibly due to his lack of consultation with economists.
Not sure this still holds up or is true. Krugman and the shift towards globalization have all come under intense criticism in recent years. It looks like Gredier was right in the end, as most of his predictions have come to pass. Viriditas (talk) 22:39, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
