OpIndia Wikipedia dossier
editOpIndia is a publisher in India which Wikipedia editors have determined to be unreliable in achieving journalism's typical level of fact-checking, as documented in Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_288#OpIndia_and_Swarajya and elsewhere.
In September 2024 the organization published this, with their editor named as author.

The first line of the report reads, "Contents of this paper will not find their way into Wikipedia articles." I would just upload the entire report here, but the report is copyrighted. If OpIndia wants the report to be here, then they can apply an open copyright license to the report and we can host it.
I appreciate any attempt to do journalism about Wikipedia in India but this report does seem to go into conspiracy theories. I am sharing it here because it does ask valid questions about Wikipedia's reliability, and highlight that people in India need more information to be able to trust Wikipedia. - Wow, we have received some very serious accusations of misconduct about that organization. Those are very concerning.
- Well, I still think there is a need to know about their report, because that organization is attention-getting and they invested a lot of effort into this long and complicated report. As I read it, I find it to be unreliable and misinformed on many basic points about the nature of Wikipedia and the Internet. It is not conventional journalism or conventional research. I also hesitate to share information from an organization which I do not know, but which has a strong existing online reputation for hateful behavior.
