Thanks for starting this article, Taitesena. That is much appreciated. You may have seen that I have removed the parameter last from the cite news templates. The reason I did this is that a newspaper's name is not a "last name". I appreciate that this breaks the functionality of the shortened footnote templates that you have introduced.
