Lead

-I'd split up the second sentence of paragraph one since it runs for a while.

• Removed the office mention. Ion stations generally don't have much in the way of local offices, and I can't figure out if they have one now. Main studio for all Scripps-owned Ion stations is in Cincinnati.

-"but found itself with too little cash, as a result of nonexistent carriage on local cable systems," I feel "cash" is a bit informal, perhaps reword? I'd also clarify carriage, or hyperlink if possible.

• The only hyperlink is Carriage dispute. It's a common enough term in the industry that I can't really reword it.

History

-"and at least one group was conducting ascertainment studies in the community in February 1979" What is an ascertainment study? Could this be clarified?

• Reworded. Ascertainment was an FCC-required practice of surveying the community to figure out its needs. The point is that groups were laying the groundwork to apply.

-Why is April a relevant date for the channel?

• Reworded. They had promised April 1986 as a start date which one article mentions.

-Is there anything on this post-2007 as Ion Television?

• No, because Ion is a national network. Very little relevant information would exist.

Technical information

-Looks good

Spotchecked sources 27, 18, 38, 8, 16, 22, 7. My big gripe is with 7. "However, channel 61 would be beset by a year of delays and other changes" is not stated in the source on either clipping, and the way "Best of Television" is phrased in the article implies this is a proper title/name, when in actuality is just meant to symbolize a figure of speech. I would suggest fixing both of these.

• Removed the former and then decapitalized the latter.
