40 Miles on Battery is a UK first?
editThis reads like marketing spin to me. Didn't https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_BEMU already do this as a routine? Chargers were at Aberdeen and Ballater, 43 miles apart.
Their 200 mile journey in 2025 is however a UK and world first according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_230. Maybe that should be the replacement statement on this page too? ~2026-13181-29 (talk) 14:47, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
