- ... that queer theory professor Tim Dean's book Unlimited Intimacy investigates the sexual subculture of barebacking among gay men?
- Source: (Literally any of them, really, but let's go with) Reviewed Work: Unlimited Intimacy: Reflections on the Subculture of Barebacking Tim Dean - Cultural Critique

- Comment: If you have any ALT hook suggestions that you think would work better, I'm all ears. I couldn't think of one other than a straightforward one like the above, since the subject matter itself is inherently interesting.

Great article. Article is new/long enough, fully cited, neutral, well written in an encyclopedic style, stable, and has no AISIGNS or copyright violations (Earwig pulls 6.5% but it is mostly incidental, although many sources are offline and accepted in good faith). Hook is interesting and cited. My concern is with uncited claims found in the lead. Everything in the lead should be cited and mentioned elsewhere in the body per MOS:LEADCITE. But several things are not: queer theory, the University of Chicago Press , and the June 15, 2009 claim. Other than that, we are good. Please ping me when this is taken care of and I'll take another look. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 03:05, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
- I've added a source, Morogris. Wasn't sure if I would have to just use a primary source for info like that, but I actually found a journal article with the exact info for the three things you brought up. SilverserenC 03:15, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
@Silver seren: Awesome, thank you, review is done. Feel free to incorporate the info/ref to the body paragraphs if you want that way you can remove the ref from the lead (I like the lead without refs because they look "cleaner" to me and they often have more flexibility to cover more stuff in a broader way. Up to you. ALT0 is ready for the main page. Morogris (✉ • ✎) 03:31, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
