Numbers of albums

edit

Only having had occasion to add something briefly to this article, I noticed that the source did not agree with the number of studio albums in the article. I don't think the list adds up to the same number in the lead (of all albums) either. Would someone who knows his music better, and/or who has done more work on this article, please check and correct so that all the number line up? Laterthanyouthink (talk) 08:02, 2 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Laterthanyouthink: I've lined them up. I guess the source doesn't count his Christmas album and his album with Adam Harvey as studio albums. I don't know his music that well but I worked on this article back in 2021, which is why it's on my watchlist. Happy new year! Graham87 (talk) 14:47, 2 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ah, thanks very much for that, Graham87, and a happy new year to you too! Actually I think that providing numbers in the lead is dodgy (especially without as of dates) because it is so easy for new things to be added in the body without adding to the lead - same with the awards. I just did a bit of WP:LEADFOLLOWSBODY, and feel that the lead could be expanded a bit to include his most well-known works (which I don't know and don't have the time to research). Anyway - at least the numbers of albums tally now, and that's an improvement! Laterthanyouthink (talk) 01:00, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Laterthanyouthink: Yeah I've taken the numbers out of the lead; I initially wasn't sure whether the lead would work without them but it seems to be OK. Graham87 (talk) 02:14, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ah yes, that's better, thanks Graham. :-) Laterthanyouthink (talk) 02:28, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
He must have been in the news recently - I just looked at page views and it shot up to 8,000 2 days ago! Laterthanyouthink (talk) 03:07, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Nah, I think it was some sort of bot activity because they're almost all mobile web pageviews on one day (31 December last year). I can't find any new news stories about him at any rate. Graham87 (talk) 03:51, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
