Request for guidance regarding COI concerns
editHello, I’d like to clarify my understanding of Wikipedia’s conflict of interest and paid editing policies and make sure I’m proceeding correctly.
I understand that some of my past edits may have raised concerns about a potential conflict of interest. While I have not received compensation of any kind for editing Wikipedia, I recognize that certain editing patterns can create the appearance of a conflict.
I want to be clear that I will not make further direct edits to the article and will instead use the talk page to propose changes, if appropriate, in line with Wikipedia guidelines.
If editors are willing, I would appreciate guidance on: Whether the current COI-related notice is still necessary What types of independent, reliable sources would be required for any future proposed updates (for example, film or television music placements)
Thank you for your time and for any direction you can provide. WolfgangPaycheck (talk) 02:17, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
