A lot of the article's sources come off as borderline WP:ROUTINE coverage, or else are press releases. It's not clear at this time that the article fully meets WP:NCORP. signed, Rosguill talk 20:14, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sorry if this is a misuse of this comment section, but I have been doing research on this matter and I was wondering if you had other sources. Viopac (talk) 10:22, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Requested factual updates (2026)

edit

I work for THL Partners and have a conflict of interest with respect to this article. In accordance with Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest guidance, I am not proposing to edit the article directly but am requesting review by independent editors.

1. Firm name

The article continues to refer to the firm as Thomas H. Lee Partners. The firm rebranded as THL Partners in 2023. It would be helpful if the article reflected the current name and included the rebranding in the firm's history.

Sources:

  • THL Partners website
  • Independent coverage of the rebranding (the name is reflected in press coverage around our most recent fundraise. Example: https://www.wsj.com/pro/private-equity/thl-partners-closes-10th-flagship-fund-at-6-35-billion-dda02446

2. Leadership and Executive Committee

The leadership information appears to be outdated.

Toni DeNovi retired in 2026 and now serves as Chairman Emeritus. He is no longer a member of the firm's Executive Committee.

The current Executive Committee consists of:

  • Todd Abbrecht, Co-Chief Executive Officer
  • Scott Sperling, Co-Chief Executive Officer
  • Dan Jones, Chief Operating Officer
  • Josh Nelson, Head of Healthcare
  • Ganesh Rao, Head of Financial Technology and Services
  • Jim Carlisle, Head of Technology and Business Solutions

3. Fund X

The article does not appear to mention THL's tenth flagship fund (Fund X):

According to reporting by The Wall Street Journal, THL recently closed Fund X with $6.35 billion in commitments. Given the significance of the fundraising event and the independent coverage, this may be appropriate for inclusion in the firm's history or fundraising section.

4. Firm statistics

The article's description of the firm's scale and activity appears outdated.

According to the firm's website, as of 2026 THL reports having managed or deployed more than $50 billion of equity capital, partnered with more than 175 companies, and completed more than 700 add-on acquisitions representing aggregate enterprise value exceeding $260 billion.

If included, this information should likely be attributed to the firm rather than presented as an independent fact.

5. Recent industry rankings

The article currently references PEI rankings from 2021. Editors may wish to review whether more recent PEI rankings are appropriate for inclusion. In the 2026 PEI 300 ranking, THL was ranked #69.

The items above are factual updates. The following item is offered for editorial consideration.

6. Recent investment activity

The current article's investment history appears not to reflect several transactions from the last several years that received coverage in business and financial publications.

I am not suggesting that all of these transactions necessarily warrant inclusion. However, the current article's investment history appears focused primarily on older transactions and may not fully reflect the firm's more recent investment activity.

Examples that editors may wish to evaluate for inclusion include:

  • AMI (majority investment in 2024; subsequently sold to Lattice Semiconductor in 2026)
  • Bynder (majority investment)
  • Red Nucleus (majority investment)
  • Headlands Research (acquisition announced in 2025)
  • Celerion (acquisition announced in 2026)
