GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:

    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:

    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

I understand this is your first GA nomination—many congratulations. Please have a look at my comments and suggestions below, and do feel entirely free to disagree with any of them, but I would be grateful if you could explain your reasoning so we can discuss it. • Fix "harv error" at reference 59.
  • Either delete the place of publication from all cited books, or add it to each.
  • Could you add an identifier (oclc) for Ciccarelli and Pike?
  • ISSN is missing at Efrain.
  • ISBN is missing at Pons, Peña, Pease, Jiménez.
  • When listing the authors at Bibliography, follow ABC order. Borsoka (talk) 13:11, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Jimenez is a thesis paper, so hence it does not have an isbn. It does not have as ISSN nor a OCLC. Pena and Pons do not have a ISBN as they are incredibly obscure books outside of Peru, I had access via Wikipedians at various universities. I should be able to find an OCLC however. Pease has been removed as a source as it was not used in the article anyway. Avocadopiu (talk) 14:05, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Could not find a OCLC nor ISBN for Pons, if proof of existence is needed, I do have a evidence of the book. Avocadopiu (talk) 14:41, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but what do you mean by "Identifier" in Wikipedia Commons? Also, this period of history is incredibly obscure like I mentioned before, so hence don't expect many of the images to have much documentation on their origins or when they were taken. Avocadopiu (talk) 15:13, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
For example, Commons indicates that the Archivo de la Biblioteca Nacional del Perú is the source of “File:Sanchez Cerro – Arequipa 1930.jpg”, but on that basis alone the reliability of the image’s identification cannot be verified. I assume that the archive assigns a specific identifier — such as a reference number — to each item in its holdings. Borsoka (talk) 09:41, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
I see. An issue is that I cannot access the Archivo de la Biblioteca Nacional del Perú. Maybe it is internet issues on my end but I have had this issue since the start of making the article 7 months ago, I have tried on PC, it has still not worked. I can search my sources for the images. Avocadopiu (talk) 12:48, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Borsoka and Avocadopiu: Is this article ready to be promoted? If not, what needs to be resolved? Z1720 (talk) 17:40, 9 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

I have one more exam untill the June Holidays. Afterwards, I will start editing more. Avocadopiu (talk) 04:05, 15 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have fixed all issues that could be resolved regarding the images. I am unable to access the Archivo de la Biblioteca Nacional del Perú to get reference numbers so I have stated where they can be found in some of the books I used as sources for the article. Urristas Fronton.jpg seems to be found in a printed material but I cannot find its origins other than a Facebook post. Antonio Eguiguren image has no government or printed source I could find, but is also the highest quality image I could find by far. There's an image in Basadre Vol 15, but its significantly lower image quality, around 240px. Let me know which is preferred for a GA article.Avocadopiu (talk) 14:51, 23 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
