editIs there any evidence to support the assertion that Frank Roberts was allowed by his brother to "escape across the "Canadian border"? Last I checked, Canada was separated from Nebraska by a couple of Dakotas and more than 500 miles.grifterlake (talk) 21:08, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- I think there is confusion here between Springsteen's song and the movie - Bruce references the Canadian border but in the movie he crosses the state line. I just watched the end of the movie and the sign says simply "state line" and is not clear which state he is crossing into. I will change it. 76.250.142.124 (talk) 06:28, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
Incorrect filming locations
editThis may be insignificant to most everyone, but the towns in Nebraska they claim the movie was filmed are incorrect. I might be wrong, but only if they cut most of the movie. My issue is they don't acknowledge that it was also filmed in Arlington, Nebraska. I know this to be fact because it was right behind my grandparents' home. Was on top of hill with run down house, that at my age then was scared of, cornfield around it. I have many details I know Sean Penn would have to remember are fact. I'd like for someone to look it up or call Mr. Penn and know the facts. Only one road to enter and exit the property and was on a large hill and our cemetery a bit farther east on same road. My grandfather was owner and pharmacist in town, they hated those lights. Grandma still lives in same house, is 94 yrs old and as sharp now as was then.
