Hi, reviewing this. I review by making a list of issues as I read through the article, rather than a template. I'll fix any minor grammar issues myself.
"simulator video game"
should link to Simulation video game or Life simulation game- The lede is not really summarizing the Development section, and "mixed reviews from critics" is not enough detail for the Reception section
"Unlike the virtual pet, gameplay in Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop does not revolve around caring for a Tamagotchi."
- In general, the inverse of "the lede summarizes the body" is that the body of the article shouldn't rely on the lede's summary to make sense. So, you need an introductory sentence explaining the relationship of this game to Tamagotchis.- In general, paragraphs should be roughly 4-7 sentences for ease of readability; at 12, the middle gameplay paragraph is hard to scan and should be broken up
"The game also features a rhythm minigame, which critics compared favorably to other games developed by NanaOn-Sha."
- where? This is missing some context, since you already said the game was based on the 11 shop minigames. Also, the reception part should be there, not in Gameplay.- Related to the 4-7 sentence thing, the flip side is that its generally discouraged to have one-sentence paragraphs as they read really choppy. The parts of the Release section should be combined into longer paragraphs.
- Remove the price from Release (WP:NOTPRICE)
- Typically GameRankings scores are not included in the reviews template for games recent enough to have a Metacritic/Opencritic score (see the template documentation)
"Critics also compared the game to WarioWare"
- compared it negatively, I assume? If not, then this sentence is implying things it doesn't mean to state.- In addition to the 1-sentence microparagraphs, Critical reception feels a bit thin. I know the game just isn't that complex, but I'd hope to see a little more substance there.
- Related to that, I see multiple reviews in the template that aren't being cited in the prose, which is contraindicated- anything in the template should be used in the prose (the reverse is not necessary).
- Numbers like
"1,115,417"
are over-specific. "Over 1.1 million", "Around 770,000", etc. is easier to read, especially when the same sentences already have rounded numbers next to them. - The award might work better in Legacy than Reception
"Model Press buzzword Grand Prize 2024"
- is that correct to not have buzzword capitalized?- There are mixed date formats in references; this can be fixed directly or you can stick a {{Use mdy dates}} template at the top
- Publishers in references are inconsistent, and many use the url instead of the name. Just go with Eurogamer, IGN, etc., not Eurogamer.net, ds.ign.com, etc.
- Either link every instance of a name in references, none, or the first instance (not recommended as it's hard to maintain); right now it's kind of random
- I'm seeing references with no authors or dates where there's ones listed at the source, e.g. ref 25 (Anoop Gantayat, June 21, 2005). You also don't need the site's tagline in the title, e.g. just "DS Games Named, Sited", since that's the title shown on the page, not the full "DS Games Named, Sited - DS News at IGN" tag in the browser tab
- For Japanese titles, swap title for script-title (and remove all-caps), e.g.
|title=新作カレンダー New Releasewith|script-title=ja:新作カレンダー NEW RELEASE, add a |trans-title like|trans-title=New Calendars: New Release, and add|language=ja - No source issues found.
Placing on hold for now, ping me whenever you're done or if you have any questions. --PresN 14:57, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @PresN Thank you for your review! Please find my responses to your suggestions below.
"simulator video game"
should link to Simulation video game or Life simulation game- Done (links to Simulation video game now)
- The lede is not really summarizing the Development section, and "mixed reviews from critics" is not enough detail for the Reception section
- Done
"Unlike the virtual pet, gameplay in Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop does not revolve around caring for a Tamagotchi."
- In general, the inverse of "the lede summarizes the body" is that the body of the article shouldn't rely on the lede's summary to make sense. So, you need an introductory sentence explaining the relationship of this game to Tamagotchis.- Done

"The game also features a rhythm minigame, which critics compared favorably to other games developed by NanaOn-Sha."
- where? This is missing some context, since you already said the game was based on the 11 shop minigames. Also, the reception part should be there, not in Gameplay.- Added context, one of the shop's minigames is a rhythm game. Moved the critic part to the reception section.
- Related to the 4-7 sentence thing, the flip side is that its generally discouraged to have one-sentence paragraphs as they read really choppy. The parts of the Release section should be combined into longer paragraphs.
- Done, combined all of the Release section into just 2 paragraphs.
- Remove the price from Release (WP:NOTPRICE)
- Done, removed MSRP.
- Typically GameRankings scores are not included in the reviews template for games recent enough to have a Metacritic/Opencritic score (see the template documentation)
- Removed GameRankings
"Critics also compared the game to WarioWare"
- compared it negatively, I assume? If not, then this sentence is implying things it doesn't mean to state.- Changed to "negatively compared the game to WarioWare"
- In addition to the 1-sentence microparagraphs, Critical reception feels a bit thin. I know the game just isn't that complex, but I'd hope to see a little more substance there.
- I've expanded this a bit now.
- Related to that, I see multiple reviews in the template that aren't being cited in the prose, which is contraindicated- anything in the template should be used in the prose (the reverse is not necessary).
- All reviews from the Reception table should now be included in the body.
- Numbers like
"1,115,417"
are over-specific. "Over 1.1 million", "Around 770,000", etc. is easier to read, especially when the same sentences already have rounded numbers next to them.- Done
- The award might work better in Legacy than Reception
- Moved to the first sentence of the Legacy section.
"Model Press buzzword Grand Prize 2024"
- is that correct to not have buzzword capitalized?- Fixed capitalization.
- There are mixed date formats in references; this can be fixed directly or you can stick a {{Use mdy dates}} template at the top
- Done
- Publishers in references are inconsistent, and many use the url instead of the name. Just go with Eurogamer, IGN, etc., not Eurogamer.net, ds.ign.com, etc.
- Fixed this.
- Either link every instance of a name in references, none, or the first instance (not recommended as it's hard to maintain); right now it's kind of random
- Every instance should now be linked.
- I'm seeing references with no authors or dates where there's ones listed at the source, e.g. ref 25 (Anoop Gantayat, June 21, 2005). You also don't need the site's tagline in the title, e.g. just "DS Games Named, Sited", since that's the title shown on the page, not the full "DS Games Named, Sited - DS News at IGN" tag in the browser tab

|title=新作カレンダー New Releasewith|script-title=ja:新作カレンダー NEW RELEASE, add a |trans-title like|trans-title=New Calendars: New Release, and add|language=ja- Done
- No source issues found.
- Thanks again and please let me know if anything else should be changed. IngeniousPachyderm (talk) 22:23, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- Looks good, promoting! --PresN 23:50, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
