The article falsely claims that Seagal moved in 1974 to Japan and married his first wife in order to avoid being drafted during the Vietnam War. The end of conscription into the US military officially came to an end in January 1973 and the US removed the last of it's military units from Vietnam at the end of March of 1973 so unless he was not paying any attention to the news it is not possible for this to have been his motivation to move to Japan and marry. ~2026-33021-67 (talk) 18:30, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
