Staples Inc. → ? – I feel that per WP:COMMONNAME, one of three things should happen here:
1. move to just Staples, as it seems to be the only thing on the dab page Staples that has the exact name Staples and isn't a partial title match with another word before or after "Staples". There is precedent for this under WP:DIFFCAPS; compare Peanuts vs. Peanut or Friends vs. Friend, where the plural S is sufficient for differentiating the works from other non-pluralized uses.
2. move to Staples (store), as the "Inc." is not part of the WP:COMMONNAME, their stores and company often being referred to as just "Staples".
3. whatever other option may come out in this discussion
Personally I think 1. has the strongest case for it. I really doubt most people looking for "Staples" are looking for obscure towns in Minnesota, a Connecticut high school, or an obscure railroad. I also couldn't find any evidence that the Staple Singers were ever widely referred to as "the Staples", and even if they were, that's not an exact title match anyway. - Weak oppose option 1 as the food and fastener probably have enough long-term significance and views[] to prevent the company from being primary. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:09, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose option 2, both per WP:NATURAL and because the article is not solely about the company's retail operations. Neutral on option 1, although I tend to agree with the prior comment. Station1 (talk) 21:55, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose move. The office supply is usually referred to in the plural, staples. The food and other supplies are also frequently called staples except when staple is modifying something, as in staple foods. The store does not have nearly the level of cultural impact as the Peanuts franchise. Also per Station1, the article is about the company and not just their stores. I was able to quickly find sources that call the company Staples, Inc. or Staples Inc. Thus, while "Staples Inc." may not be the most common name it is in use and is appropriate for natural disambiguation. --MYCETEAE 🍄🟫—talk 22:31, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. This article is not the primary topic for Staples, and the current WP:NATURAL title Staples Inc. seems just fine. Note also that Staples Canada's stores are named "Staples", so the proposed title Staples (store) is ambiguous. 162 etc. (talk) 18:45, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose Per WP:NATURAL, I think this is preferable to a disambiguation, and don't believe it is a WP:PLURALPT. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 23:54, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
