editI suggest to delete this page, which is not supported by available sources. Citations are needed, as suggested. However, I was unable to find any references to the terms "defertilisation" or "defertilization" using Google Scholar or other bibliographic tools. In addition, decreasing the fertility of a given area is often practised, not to decrease plant biodiversity, but on the contrary to increase it by alleviating the dominance of nutrient-demanding plants (often in a few numbers if not exclusive) over other, less exacting, plants. This is commonly used to restore heathland or savanna after abandonment of agriculture. Many studies support that. Jfponge 16:52, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
