Conflict of interest tag
editI'm removing this COI tag because it is unclear to me why it was added. Maybe it was a mistake? There is nothing on this talk page about it.
History: the tag was added on 21 March 2023 by @Roberto Cavanni. It was placed in the wrong place with no date, and therefore didn't show on the article. @AnomieBOT had subsequently added a date to the tag. In June 2023, @BrazilianDude70 moved the tag to the top of the page and this is when it first visually appeared on the article.
In any case by now the article has changed considerably so even if there was a concern at the time it is most likely resolved by now. FlorentinaBizzaria (talk) 15:56, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
Controversy
editThe controversy surrounding Weissman is not the fact that Fortuna Dusseldorf didn't sign him on, but rather his actions on social media regarding the Gaza genocide. This has sparked outrage in Spain already in early 2024, as was included in earlier versions of this article (e.g., ). It is therefore relevant and appropriate to describe what caused the controversy, since it is also backed by multiple credible sources. Please do not remove this information without further discussing on this talk page. Let's avoid an edit war. FlorentinaBizzaria (talk) 20:57, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
