Shefali’s education

She studied Information Technology from Sardar Patel college of engineering from Andheri, Mumbai not Anand,Gujarat. It can be veried from the engineering college . She was 1-2 years junior to me from the same college. Please correct it. Sydboy25 (talk) 05:36, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

@Sydboy25: Thank you for your comment. However, according to Wikipedia’s content policies, particularly WP:V and WP:OR, personal testimony is not sufficient to override reliably published sources. Multiple news reports (including Gujarat Samachar) and biographical articles indicate that Shefali Jariwala studied in Sardar Patel College of Engineering in Anand, Gujarat.

If you have a reliable published source confirming the Mumbai location, kindly provide it so the article can be updated accordingly. Veritasphere (talk) 06:34, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

Please note Gujarat samachar is incorrect. Please contact Sardar Patel College of Engineering in Mumbai directly and verify her enrolment . Or please find a way to contact Shefali’s friends or family , if possible , and verify.Its quite disappointing to find that wiki data is based on Gujarat Samachar or some unverified news and other news outlets are taking info from Wiki and then the error is spread manifold.It actually reduces the credibility of Wiki as it includes info from unverified sources . I do not have any personal reasons to request for change , but after her demise , I came across the error because I found news report quoting that she studied engineering in Gujarat based on Wiki data.

Sure I understand that Wiki cannot be updated based on personal testimony. But it will be unfortunate to have an error on her profile regarding her education.

Please note there is another Sardar Patel College of Engineering in Gujarat. It’s very easy for news agencies to get confused unless they do a thorough check.

Wikipedia is thought to be a source of truth, so there may be hundreds of online resources mentioning Anand as her place of education because they quote directly from Wikipedia.
