Proposed revision of “Punditry and teaching” section

edit

I recently attempted to streamline the “Punditry and teaching” section, as it currently appears disproportionately long relative to the rest of the article and includes interpretive language (e.g. “reactionary ideologies”) that may not be directly supported by the cited sources. Furthermore, the term 'punditry' is interpretive rather than factual. I propose 'Public commentary' instead, as a more neutral description. I understand my previous edit was reverted due to removal of cited material and lack of inline citations in the revised version. I would therefore like to propose a revised version here for discussion, in line with WP:NPOV and WP:UNDUE.

The intention is not to remove verifiable information, but to ensure the section reflects Andreyev’s work with appropriate weight and avoids interpretive framing. Proposed text:

Public commentary and teaching

Andreyev is active as a teacher and public commentator on music and related cultural topics. In addition to his compositional work, he has produced educational content and lectures, particularly through online platforms, addressing subjects such as music theory, analysis, and aesthetics.

He has also appeared as a guest on various podcasts and interview programmes, where discussions have included music, artistic practice, and broader cultural issues. I would be grateful for feedback before making further changes. ~2026-23069-78 (talk) 08:11, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
