Criticism/Controversy subsection

edit

Considering that this is a big 4 event taking place in Saudi, this is practically a given and I believe it should be added. I can't currently do this as its late at night and I have work tomorrow, but I would appreciate if someone found sources and created a subsection for this. Thank you. don't think this really applies here. if you take a look at the 2022 FIFA World Cup page they have something similar because of the stature of the event being hosted in an oil republic known for human rights violations. That's just the territory that comes with big name events taking place in saudi. Bigmanethan (talk) 06:41, 28 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Wrong venue

edit

I don't know how to change it or what to change it to, but this show is not taking place at the Kingdom Arena. WWE says it's taking place at "KAFD" which is the King Abdullah Financial District. Source is WWE directly: https://www.wwe.com/article/tickets-for-royal-rumble-2026-in-riyadh-on-sale-now

It appears the venue is being built right now: https://bsky.app/profile/stholeary.bsky.social/post/3mbruk6iht22w & https://www.instagram.com/p/DTJZFtLjRjh/ ~2026-12276-0 (talk) 21:40, 6 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

roman reigns won the rumble ~2026-68865-7 (talk) 22:56, 31 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Already done The article currently reflects that Roman Reigns is the winner of the Men's Royal Rumble via table data. Unsure if you wanted it mentioned somewhere else or what not, in which case you'd need to specify where and what text to add. —Sirdog (talk) 01:36, 1 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Short description

edit

The current short description "WWE pay-per-view and livestreaming event" needs to be improved. I suggest "World Wrestling Entertainment event". Per WP:SDAVOID, short descriptions should "use simple, readily comprehensible terms that do not require pre-existing detailed knowledge of the subject". The abbreviation "WWE" fails that, as being comprehensible only to readers who already know about the American wrestling promotion company. The article is about the event itself; how access to the event is then sold to paying subscribers is secondary and need not be mentioned. MichaelMaggs (talk) 12:50, 3 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
