Notable?

edit

How notable is this song? It barely cracked the Billboard Hot 100, and it heavily samples "The Rhythm of the Night" by Corona. Sure, it has a lot of new Spanish lyrics, but also several instrumental breaks. It's still essentially a remake. Personally, I would merge this with the "The Rhythm of the Night" article. --LABcrabs (talk) 20:01, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Very notable... LABcrabs, the Billboard Hot 100 isn't the only chart in the world and this is a major (top-ten) hit in Latin America and Europe with hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. Sure, it does heavily sample "The Rhythm of the Night" by Corona, however, songs like the "Harlem Shake" by Baauer also heavily sample songs like "Maldaldes" by Hector El Father. Another example of a song with heavy sampling is Jason Derulo's "Watcha Say", which samples a great portion of Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek". Should we merge those articles too with the respective songs they sample? I don't see why this argument can't be applied to those songs. --DovahDuck (talk) 22:33, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
