Reorganize this article
editI'm planning to do a lot of work on this article, but I have a few questions/comments here if people are interested.
- Do we incorporate the polar ring galaxy article into this one? I would say yes, we should, or someone (maybe me) should write about collisional ring galaxies in a separate article which are an equally important kind of object
- Ring features in general are quite common in spiral galaxies (~ 20% if I recall correctly) typically because of material accumulation upon resonant waves with the central bar of a galaxy. I do not work on kinematics so I will not pretend to be an expert on this, but it's important to keep this in mind when talking about a particular extreme system like Hoag's Object or the Cartwheel Galaxy, both of which are very different kind of galaxies despite having rings as the dominant morphological feature.
- In general I think the article could benefit from restructuring and with more illustrative examples (Arp 147 and Arp 148 come to mind)
