Death and Legacy: 50th Anniversary of the book One man's Wilderness
editThe text says that the book was released in 1973. Later on it is stated that a Fiftieth Anniversary Hardcover "Commemorative Edition" was released in 2013. The math doesn't add up on this. It was either the fourtieth anniversary of the book, or the commemorative editing was released in 2023. Just wanted to point that out to the author 2A02:3038:610:DA7A:52A0:15D3:738F:D2C5 (talk) 09:44, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

Cabin Building
editAlthough his wonderful adventure was more about freedom and self-fulfillment than construction, having owned cabins myself, he should have made stone footers. The first course of logs should be above the snow line. Also, a small wood stove would have provided far more warmth than a fireplace. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ~2025-30994-53 (talk) 17:36, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
