Requested edits (conflict of interest)

edit

I am the subject of this article and am requesting a small number of factual corrections and wording adjustments in accordance with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest and biographies of living persons (BLP) guidelines. These requests are intended as minimal, non-promotional cleanup and clarification only.

Requested changes:

1. Infobox caption - Replace “Rich Kidd Ontario Native” with a neutral descriptive caption (e.g., “Rich Kidd performing in Toronto”), or leave the caption blank if no contextual image is present.

2. Occupation (infobox and lead) - Retain “record producer” and “rapper.” - Retain “film/video director,” supported by coverage of the short film *Trespassing*. - Retain “actor,” but ensure acting roles are described conservatively elsewhere in the article (see item 4).

3. Birthplace and origin - Retain birthplace as Toronto, Ontario, Canada. - Retain origin as Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, reflecting birthplace versus artistic upbringing as already described in the Early life section.

4. Film and acting credits - Revise wording related to film appearances (e.g., *Filth City*) to avoid overstating roles. Replace phrases such as “starred alongside” with neutral wording like “appeared in” or “had a speaking role.” - This applies similarly to other film appearances where applicable.

5. Awards section clarification - Revise the Juno Awards 2011 entry related to Shad’s *TSOL* to clarify that Rich Kidd contributed as a producer on specific tracks, rather than implying sole or primary production of the album.

6. Associated acts - Retain the current associated acts list, as it reflects documented collaborations and production work already covered in reliable sources cited throughout the article.

7. Jay Electronica – *Act II: The Patents of Nobility (The Turn)* - Add a brief, neutral sentence in the Career section stating that Rich Kidd is credited as a producer on Jay Electronica’s officially released album *Act II: The Patents of Nobility (The Turn)* (2024), specifically for the track “Memories & Merlot.” - This production credit is verifiable via a reliable third-party music database (e.g., Discogs).

No new claims are being added; these requests are intended solely to correct phrasing, remove ambiguity, and ensure accuracy and neutrality in line with BLP standards. I am happy to provide specific reliable sources if editors request them. Producedbyrichkidd (talk) 08:02, 6 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
