Name Change or separate article for "Kingdom of Ramnad" required
editThe title or name of this article Ramnad estate was only after 1803 till 1947, whereas it was a larger kingdom from 1675 till 1805; encompassing both Sivaganga and Pudukottai kingdoms at one time. Also as a kingdom it flourished and played an important role in the region with lot many contributions. Its last known status as the ridiculously titled East India Company's name "Permanent Settlement of Ramnad" is misleading and completely vanes the earlier entity as a independent kingdom. Any Tamil Nadu history contributors kindly suggest.
