Unclear link to Alfeios
editUnder "Myth: Plantard's Plot" is the phrase "Priory of Sion being a medieval society that was the source of the 'underground stream' of esotericism in Europe"; "underground stream" is linked to the article on Alfeios, a Greek river system. But no explanation here is given for this particular link. As "underground stream" in the figurative sense is self-explanatory, unless someone can identify in the article why that particular river system is apropos, I would recommend simply removing the link. If we are going to mention Gino Sandri
editThen we may as well mention Marco Rigamonti, the current head of the Priory of Sion. For the record, the current PoS is an attempt at bridging the PoS of the Dossiers Secrets and the PoS of 1989-1990. Which we all know is like saying Black is White and White is Black. Citations Needed
editI am positive that Plantard was a hoaxer, but without citations the statements that he is look like original research. Could someone with better knowledge of that topic get some solid backing in the article? Whateley23 (talk) 01:34, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
- I resolved the first one with a quote from the cited source. The next one I looked at is likely covered by footnote 6 but that's an entire book with no cited page numbers. The material cited to the book could be handled better with citations to locations in the book, done with shortened footnotes, {{rp}} superscript page numbers, or duplicate citations. There's a copy on archive.org but it will be a bit of a project to check all the material and find pages. Rjjiii (talk) 04:08, 9 January 2026 (UTC)
