Pitchfork (website) → Pitchfork (magazine) – As Pitchfork is an online music "magazine", it would be better to be named as "Pitchfork (magazine)". I was first confused at using {{cite web}} and {{cite magazine}}; I thought it was a website, but it was a magazine when I looked into the article. Camilasdandelions (✉️) 11:24, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Leaning against. As far as I know, it is a website. There is no print edition and no posting of issues on a periodic cadence. I see no need to change the identification, even if they sometimes call themselves a magazine. — BarrelProof (talk) 14:04, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Undecided. It's an interesting suggestion and I can see the sense in it. At the very least it makes me wonder if there's a contradiction in the title "Pitchfork (website)" and the lead sentence, which calls its a magazine, not a website. I suppose we'll have to go by how most sources refer to it... Popcornfud (talk) 14:15, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose. A magazine is generally understood to be a print publication, which Pitchfork is not. The proposed title does nothing to improve clarity. 162 etc. (talk) 17:42, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose per @162 etc.:. As it is not a print magazine, using the "magazine" disambiguator is unnecessary here. RedShellMomentum 20:45, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Name change
editFor all my searching I've never been able to find any source covering the name change from Pitchfork Media to Pitchfork. Does anyone have one? Popcornfud (talk) 03:35, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
