For the vaccine to work it needed to deliver a stable accurate replica of the virus's spike protein so that the body's immune system could recognize and react to COVID{{nbhyph}}19 if they became infected.<ref name = "Miller_2021" />{{rp|72–75}} In developing a stable replica, the team was assisted by advice from [[Barney S. I believe it should fit in the adverse effects section. Description: Main results of the randomized controlled trial of Biontech-Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine (Tozinameran, Comirnaty, bnt162b2) versus placebo (0.9% saline injection) - 6-month follow-up. According to Thomas SJ, Moreira ED Jr, Kitchin N, et al. Safety and efficacy of the BNT162b2 mRNA Covid-19 vaccine through 6 months. N Engl J Med 2021;385:1761-73. Delayed distant urticaria
editOne of the more significant side effects of this vaccine has been delayed distant urticaria lasting a week or more (with treatment). I think it would be good to include this in the Adverse Effects section. In the cases of full-body urticaria, this can cause some itchy sleepless nights for patients. There are multiple reliable independent sources that have described this phenomenon.
