Quote from his own book "En får ente ge sej": "1946. […] Bilarna släpptes ut på vägarna, ransoneringskorten slopades det ena efter det andra och det föddes barn som aldrig förr. Ett av dem var Per Eklund, den 26 juni 1946 i Skönnerud, Koppom. Pappa hette Torsten och hade bilskola, mamma hette Karin."
