Paul-Quentin or Quentin Paul?

This page follows the Catholic Encyclopedia, which is usually pretty reliable but I suspect it's mistaken about the order of his given names. French Wikipedia follows the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, which says, 'Desains (Quentin-Paul), prénom usuel Paul'. I have found one primary source! When they gave him the Legion of Honour, they wrote "Quentin Paul": https://www.leonore.archives-nationales.culture.gouv.fr/ui/notice/112687 As was common for the time, those archival documents are inconsistent with punctuation, i.e. sometimes they use a hyphen and sometimes not. It seems clear enough that he went by just Paul, so I propose that this page be moved to Paul Desains and the lede read 'Quentin Paul Desains'. Nick (talk) 06:18, 15 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
