"Opposition to Data Centers"
editmight be a more accurate/encompassing title, it currently redirects here but it might be better to switch it so "Opposition to Data Centers" is the main article with "Opposition to AI Data Centers" redirecting there Ashwinr (talk) 13:52, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
- I can see that as well (but it would need to be Opposition to data centers in sentence case). From my last check of the sources, however, AI is mentioned a lot in the included cases, so it might be okay as-is. Another primary concern is that the article is rather US-centric, but I don't believe it would be necessary to note that in the title. ASUKITE 18:23, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
POV
editMeanwhile, others were more skeptical of the rampant spread of AI data and were opposed to the project. Ultimately, the project was delayed with the Planning Commission requiring GI partners to do more public out reach, resulting in them sending out noties to people in the area. At this meeting concerns of pweor, water use, and noise were raised. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to find more information on this particular data center and it appears that the project might have been approved.
aside from being uncited seems pretty non neutral. I kinda wonder if the fact that we are mostly seeing claims here makes this topic prone to POV. JoJo Eumerus mobile (main talk) 11:28, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
